Mexican chain branch with soft lighting, red decor accents & an extensive tequila selection.- Google
"Food is great, service was okay the night we went."
"Food was so salty, rice wasn't fully cooked, refried beans were just wrong."

Go on Tuesdays for their Taco Tuesday specials. You can get cheap tacos and discounted drinks. The restaurant itself is more upscale and the food is good. The service is good as well. I recommend giving this place a shot.

I have been to Rojo a number of times, including at their prior location at the West Oaks Shopping Center, and have never had a bad meal. The hardest part of any visit for me is actually choosing what to eat, though the table-side guacamole is NEVER a bad starter. The staff is always friendly, and though I can't say it's authentic Mexican food, it's delicious to say the least. Try the stuffed jalapenos!

Went to the restaurant on a sunday afternoon expecting something similar to the Rojo of old in Fountain walk. COMPLETELY different experience that in previous years. When we walked in, the place was empty (understandable since its a sunday afternoon) and the hostess acted like we were causing her an inconvenience by telling her we were a group of 6. She asked for a minute, I assume to go put two tables together. Upon returning, she led us to a dirty table with crumbs and wet glass rings on the table from previous customers. She noticed the crumbs and tried to brush them on the floor with her hand. When my wife asked to have the table properly cleaned, she slammed the menus down and brought back a red napkin (used to fold the silverware in) with water on it. No joke. Not even bleach water. Our server was decent and semi-attentive but considering there were zero other customers, i would have expected better. The food was OK but semi-warm at best, as if 6 customers put a strain on the kitchen. My friend ordered fajitas on one of those cast iron wasnt steaming or sizzling. Like i said, its as if it was sitting under the hotlamp while the other 5 dishes were being prepared. The restaurant appears to be an old irish pub thats been redecorated....the dark wood, slate floors, and stained glass all give off a bar like atmosphere...much different the high end feel of the previous Rojo. Wont be going back. There are far better mexican restaurants in Livonia that are worth the drive.

A fun reasonably priced pace in Birmingham. Get the guac as an app. The Mexican is pretty American but everyone leaves happy.

Waiter was excellent. First time there and tasted several of the tacos. Their unlimited taco menu is a good deal. You need to sit at the bar, although since it was our first time, we were allowed to have it while sitting in a booth. Guacamole was very good (done by hand at table). Guac reminded of my of my trips to Mexico.
