Delicious. Charming. Warm. Friendly. Inviting. Yummy. The bartenders make the best martinis. And they greet you by name.

There are many French Restaurants in NYC - Bistro 61 is my go to place. I go for the mussels special (all you can eat moules frites) at least once a month. Authentic French food at less then Upper East Side prices.

Wonderful French bistro fare fairly priced and served up by a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Make sure to try the "bouillibase" soup with rouille an authentically French meal and turned into a great appetizer by Bistro 61. Also don't miss the foie gras burger and daily specials like rib eye steak.

cozy french bistro in a neighborhood that needs places like this. the moules et frites are terrific, the wine list is excellent, and the meals are consistently well prepared.

Dined at this NYC French Bistro last night. As a chef I have very high standards and I must say outstanding steak frites and onion soup. The service was excellent, and the ambiance genuine and cozy. Will absolutely go back, and since they nailed the bistro basics, will next time try something off of their specials board which looked wonderful.

Tony Adele John and staff make going the extra mile to make everything special seamless. The relaxed comfortable surroundings, attentive service and deliciously satisfying food have never dissapointed. The attention to the dining experience is consistant and always pleasant. The wine list is interesting and accommodating. I love taking a date to this quaint little bistro relaxing with a nice bottle of wine and a bowl of mussels. Two thumbs up
