We have been going to Tennessee for years, drove past Grandma's for years, stopped in last year and it was the best experience for our family. The food is excellent, the staff is wonderful and we are looking forward to having breakfast there as soon as we arrive on Monday...

We stayed near Pigeon Forge in a Cabin. We ended up going to one of the Log Cabin Pancakes houses nearby. The pancakes at Grandmothers Kitchen were way better! And Bigger! And cheaper!! Plus the place was nice and wasn't super crowded. It was nice to get away from the BIG CITY feel of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We wanted to go again on our way home, but we were not headed that way. We will return if we are ever in the area again!

I was drawn in by their advertisement for cat's head biscuits; i had to know why someone would call their biscuit's a cat's head. I went in and asked, and she happily explained that it was because they were the size of a cat's head, and then gave me one! We went back later that day to have lunch, and when my mom was asking about the turnip greens and then decided not to get them, she brought her some anyway. My mom said they were the best turnip greens she's had in her whole life. As a vegetarian the selection was limited, but that's to be expected when eating country cooking. We also heard several very cute anecdotes. It was a very pleasant experience.
