On this #ThankYouThursday a special Thank You goes out to all those who are participating in #CharlesCountyRocks! When we came in this morning, there were rocks stashed outside of Spring Dell’s main building. There was true excitement on the faces of our program participants and staff when they were found. Now several have started hiding them INSIDE the building! Thank you to those who have proven Charles County really does rock and have put so many smiles on the faces of community members.

Connecting to the #community on #ThankYouThursday! We are developing a #mentoring program with various organizations in the community, and La Plata Manor has jumped on board! The program will allow everyone involved to share experiences and expand life skills such as cooking, baking, finance, and more. The first mentoring meet and greet was a success! Everyone had a good time engaging and interacting with those at La Plata Manor Apartments for Seniors. Look for more great things to come from this program established by Spring Dell’s Supported Employment team. #ThankYou for connecting with us in the community La Plata Manor!

Want to be next on our list of partnerships. Just message us!

She has made many sales already, and you will have an opportunity to see her items at an upcoming Bingo Fundraiser to raise money for #RelayForLife. Rustic Restorations will also be there with #repurposed and vintage items to sell. See the attached flyer for details. Can't make the event but interested in supporting Paula or purchasing jewelry? Have you seen Wednesday’s Maryland Independent? Grab a copy or take time to visits the Charles County Government Building to view the “Artists without Limits” gallery exhibit highlighting local artist with disabilities. Several people supported by Spring Dell’s services have shared their talents in the display. Thank you to the Charles County Commission on Individuals with Disabilities and the Charles County Arts Alliance for putting together such a wonderful display.

#ThankYouThursday is here and we are excited to give thanks to our community partners! This thank you is going to Southern Maryland Foot & Ankle located in Clinton and Waldorf, Maryland! The organization recently donated two cases of sports bottles to ensure everyone here at Spring Dell has a way to drink enough water. Have you been outside? It’s hot, but we are hydrated and ready to take on the heat as we are out and about in the community! Thank you Southern Maryland Foot and Ankle for making sure we are covered in this heat.

Plan on taking advantage of #AmazonPrimeDay? Consider giving back to Spring Dell’s services for people with disabilities at the same time! How? It’s easy. Just visit Amazon Smiles (Amazonsmiles.com), choose Spring Dell Center as your charity and shop, shop, shop! That’s it. Proceeds made from sales will provide resources to help a person with a #disability find a job or gain work experience right here in our community. When you’re done, head over to 7-eleven for free #SlurpeeDay!
