Scientist Max Little of MIT hopes to deliver a system that can speed up detection of Parkinson's disease. What's really cool is that the system is based on machine learning, using a set of clever speech recognition algorithms to detect patterns in the voice of people that have Parkinson's disease.

iRobot announced today a new iteration of their successful Roomba cleaning robot. This is exciting news although the price tag of $700 seems quite steep.

Would you buy a $700 vacuum cleaner? Even if it is able to automatically detect room boundaries - which is pretty kick-ass by the way!

The average computer today has about 4 main processor cores and it's pretty fast allowing users to run many applications at the same time and play high-definition video content at the same time.

Now imagine you had just over 1.5 million cores - in one machine. That's how much processing power IBM has crammed into it's latest supercomputer. It's quite amazing!
