Spring has arrived! Time to spruce up your space. Give winter "leftovers" like salt, sand and debris the brush off with a M-B attachment or walk-behind broom.

ATTACHMENT TIP TUESDAY - A rotary broom isn't just for snow removal, it is also a great tool to help bring life back into your lawn after a long winter. Using a M-B broom to sweep small rocks, gravel and sand out of the grass is more effective than conventional raking (and a little faster too). Many rental companies rent walk-behind brooms in the spring, visit yours today. If they don't have one, ask them to call M-B for more info at 800.558.5800.

Attachment Tip Tuesday - Attachment Tip Tuesday - "Tag team" a broom with a plow or snow blower attachment for optimum snow removal. While using a plow or snow blower is ideal to clear heavier snow, they can leave a thin layer on the surface. That layer of snow often turns to ice and makes the clean-up process more inconvenient. Follow plowing /snow blowing with a rotary broom attachment or walk-behind unit. The bristles get down to the surface (especially great for uneven and decorative pavement areas) and “flicks” away the snow left behind. Voila! A clean surface with no salt needed!

Flashback Friday! - The 53MH Tow Behind Broom has been around for over 60 years. While the current design comes with 15 different available options, we like the simple style of the one pictured from the 1950's.

ATTACHMENT TIP TUESDAY!
Lubrication Maintenance # - Keep your M-B Attachments moving and grooving. Grease bearings, pivot points and other recommended parts on your brooms, blowers and plows. Each attachment has specific lubrication requirements such as the type of lubricant to use, recommended amount and a maintenance schedule. Consult your manual for details.

Flashback Friday!
During the 1930's the Meili-Blumberg Corporation (aka M-B Companies) dabbled in manufacturing the PAL Junior Motor Car. The mini automobile had a 3HP gas engine which allowed the car to go at a top speed of 10mph! The original concept of the car was to be an advertising medium. Many of the 250 produced were used for that.

ATTACHMENT TIP TUESDAY!
Attachment Tip #47 - Make your plow cutting edge last longer.

With a heavy winter season, plow edges often get worn out quickly. Ways to improve this are to run with the machine in a float position rather than with down pressure on the blade and properly adjust the skid shoes so you leave a very small gap between the ground and the edge.  For best results, after plowing, finish with a power broom made by M-B to reduce the overall wear on the blade and limit liability of your customer.
