We love this great photo by our longtime friend and photographer Jeanette Vonier/Elegant Images Photography (Petaluma)! Our model has our cincher on, lace covered in taffeta by Sue Nice for ROMANTASY, and the silk chiffon dress was custom made by a local San Francisco designer some years ago.

Just love cute denim corsets. This simple fabric can be so imaginative and comfy especially when combined with cute patterned binding. Here's one by Sheri, with matching busk covers we make!

65% of our corset clientele at ROMANTASY is transgender, and we love helping them achieve a slimmer waistline and more authentic female figure! Michelle the Tall has been a friend and client for eight years. Each year she commissions an entire corset ensemble, and here's her 2016 one by corsetiere Jill Hoverman and Ann: The Athena. I deconstructed another necklace and sewed the matching beading on the cincher, made by Jill in a gorgeous brocade, then trimmed the comfy cinch with gold and copper braid to coordinate with Michelle's sumptous, silk gown. She carried her vision off with elegance and aplomb, to match her loving heart and genuinely supportive nature!

We're soon happy to welcome our corsetmaker Sharon McCoy Morgan back to a more active role on our team at ROMANTASY! She's concluding her master's program soon and returning full time to her job as Assistant Director of the Costume Dept. at U of Alabama (Birmingham), corset instructor there, and ROMANTASY corsetiere! Sharon managed recently to squeek out this handsome lambskin leather "Bella" corset modeled by our cute client Somi Vichi!

Waist-training student Ms. T has shed over 1.5 waistline inches in 4 weeks of training! She's at a 27.3" waist, corseting to 25" (over corset) for four hours, working now on building up to six hours a day. Slow and steady it goes! She's a dedicated student, ot obsessing about weight, and toeing the line in clean eating, waist-targeted exercises 20 min. five nights a week--and moving up to 30 min a night for the next month.

Bettina and I attended the de la Renta fashion exhibit at the deYoung in San Fran a few weeks ago. Overall, a small exhibit but nothing really stood out. His designs are sometimes elegant, but understated. He's not my fave designer. Could that be because he doesn't include corsets? This design was the closest we could come to a corset...the bottom of the bodice is gilded feathers while the top from below the waistline up, was made of overlapped rectangular payettes.

We recently visited the de la Renta exhibit at the deYoung in San Fran with client and friend Bettina. here's the closest thing we found to a corset: feathers on the bottom and gold metallic layered rectangle payettes on top of the bodice. Interesting (but not my fave).

We just received a gorgeous new corset by Jill Hoverman: a "work horse" corset because it is mainly German dot coutil, but sports a stripe of patterned Chinese polysilk. Why order a boring training corset? Look forward to a gorgeous corset each day of training, as designer Jessie will!
