The Spring is here and it's head chef William's favourite season. Dishes are lighter and more colourful and we can start to move away from the heftier comfort foods that are commonly found in our Winter menus.

We've made some changes to the format of our menu this month, opting for a small A La Carte which still incorporates our popular grill section and a new Daily Dinner Menu that sits along side it at just £22 for 3 courses and gives William and his team more flexibility to use the produce that is at their disposal from their many local suppliers on a daily basis. To view a sample of our new Daily Dinner Menu please visit www.abbotsbartonhotel.com and go to the Dining section.

So we're a couple of months in with the new wing that is being built at the back of the BW Abbots Barton Hotel which will house a health club and spa with treatment rooms, new conference and meeting spaces and a larger wedding room with private function bar and more bedrooms. Here is a 360 panorama of what the health club and meeting room space looks like so far! The new wedding room will be the floor above :)

I've used the Best Western Abbots Barton on a number of occasions for breakfast and lunch meetings with clients or for infomal coffee meetings. The food has always been great, the staff friendly and the environment calm and relaxed. Highly recommended for your business meetings.

Thanks for your review Jim, we're happy to hear that you enjoy using the facilities at the hotel. We've added a new Hot Beverages menu in the bar to promote our speciality teas and coffees which are mostly organic and/or fairtrade and are available to residents and non-residents. Make sure you try one of our lattes at your next visit! Christian

Excellent restaurant, if a little pricey; very short walk from the city center.

Thank you for your review, apologies for the delay in responding. We've taken your comments on-board and are glad that you enjoyed the restaurant. I'm sorry to hear you thought it was a bit expensive. Our Seasonal Dinner Menu is currently set at £25.50 for 3 courses and our chef prides himself on using local and ethically sourced ingredients where possible which are generally a bit more expensive. The benefit is that we get to show off some amazing produce from the Garden of England to our guests. There is also a bar snack menu which is cheaper however and we do have plans to build a less formal brasserie style restaurant in the future once our second phaze development scheme comences. We look forward to your next stay with us! Christian
