Make It An Historic Stay! At Leith Hall (Cape May, New Jersey USA)
Leith Hall, built in 1878, is the only professionally restored Cape May bed and breakfast Inn at the beach. Elan and Susan Zingman-Leith bought the inn in 1989 and restored it to its Victorian appearance. They have furnished and decorated Leith Hall as a period house of the 1880s. The wall coverings, furniture, pictures, silver, all date from the time when the house was built. While the physical surroundings are formal and Victorian, the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The aroma of brewing freshly brewing coffee and home baked breads wakes you up while quiches, crepes, and egg entrees fortify you for a day at the beach. Afternoon tea includes Elan’s cakes and pastries with hot English tea in the winter and iced tea and lemonade in the summer. Leith Hall's bedrooms feature ocean views, king or queen size beds with canopies and private bathrooms, as well as period wallpapers.
