Huh.  Who knew "Fashion Crime" was one of the top crime categories in San Bernardino County.

Another lesson learned from the Inland Empire "Jail Report" at my local Circle K.

Cool, and kinda creepy.

Cool result from NEOWISE!
There are now 4,700 asteroids out there — plus or minus 1,500 – that are considered Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHAs). This is the latest and best assessment yet of our solar system’s population ...

This video is jaw-droppingly awesome. I have to fight to tell my brain that this is not just a special effect. Still trying to wrap my head around the science behind it.

Freaky! Note: you don't actually have to shake your head to see it, just step back from the computer a bit.

Hmm. I'm not the Apple police or anything, but...this just kinda seems like something you can't get away with. Especially when you sell mainly mp3 players & accessories.

Fun fact from Caltech's Seismology lab: did you know that the Richter Scale isn't used anymore?? When you hear newspeople talking about a "9.0 in Japan," they're talking about "on the Moment/Magnitude Scale." This was developed in the 1970s to replace the Richter Scale!

Repeat: the Richter Scale was replaced in the 1970s! For the bulk of my entire life, almost no one has been reporting on earthquakes using the Richter Scale! How did my brain not know this??

Subway soup: "So good it'll make your mom jealous." Because after all, women in the 21st century are still validated by how well others like their cooking.

I thought your mom would be jealous because she doesn't have any soup.

Valentine's Day has been cancelled. Yeah, I know, but it's hard to argue with math.

Subway, I come to you when I feel like eating healthy. Allowing the next-door Del Taco to put a poster on your window advertising cheap tacos is really messing with my chi.
