Workers restoring an 18th century house in St Petersburg have unearthed an extraordinary cache of Tsarist artefacts once owned by one of Russia’s most prominent noble families. It includes three silver dinner sets of over 1000 pieces each from 1872, 1914 and 1915, and a group of silver and gilt samovars.
