I love beef BBQ, brisket is my favorite, so when I visit a new area and try a BBQ Joint and their menu states, "Succulent", I expect exactly that! Well, let me state that Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que at Tempe Marketplace is anything BUT "Succulent", rather dried out meat that, per the manager on duty, "Was smoked yesterday", in other words, they served me "OLD" meat! WHAT? Yes, old meat. In the beginning... They start off by serving biscuits, and my 1st order was, stated by the bartender was, "they're old, so they may be hard." They were rocks. She asked me, "would you like fresh biscuits?" Hum, let me think about that? YES! The FRESH biscuits were mostly raw dough. I did notice they sprinkled large sugar granules on the top of the biscuits, not sure why, the sugar didn't help. I ordered the BBQ Lunch Platter and opted for the beef rib (1 bone), brisket burnt ends, and tri-tips. The beef rib was OK at best. The tri-tips, going down hill. The brisket? I could have used it for building material. This LUNCH was $16.99! That's $16.99 out of my pocket for ^$#T!@#$%^!!! I hope this was an oddity and it's not constantly bad... BUT... That's your call. I will avoid Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que from now on. NOTE: Their employees were cordial, and manager tried to make things "right" by substituting foods. He still charged me full price, which I paid without issue, as he did try. Service was fine. The food...not so much.

We were going to Dave and Busters but wanted to grab a bite to eat prior to heading in. The smell coming from this restaurant lured us in and everything was DELICIOUS! The mixed drinks were also very very goood (crocodile cooler, back porch strawberry lemonade & gentlemens old fashioned). I highly recommend this place for the great drinks, delicious food, awesome service and the prices were super reasonable.

This restaurant is not up to date. The biscuits was served ALL old, they were Soooo stiff! I broke one biscuit in half,& the broken half flew across the table! The other half crumbled in hand. The waitress was explaining how the biscuit maker machine had a defect. This is unexplainable! Why serve me the biscuits to eat, if you knew off "TOP" the biscuit machine was not working properly. "Wack!!!! HATED IT!" :/

Service is ridiculous. We were seated immediately but it took a while for our drink order to be placed and for them to arrive. We waited 45mins before our complementary bread arrived and 50mins before the food arrived. Food was good. But all the customers were waiting and the wait staff were just lost.

Amazing bbq place! They have meat galore and even some fried okra! Mason jar glasses set the mood for this down home southern place. Sit in the bar area for some great service and good specials too! The portions are big so come with a hungry stomach to fill!

Terrible. Place is in major need of an update; old and looks unmaintaned. I would recommend trying one of the many other restaurants within the marketplace. Service at this place is also disappointing.

One of the best restaurants I have every been to. Everything on the menu is amazing. The sauce is amazing. The sides are amazing. The atmosphere is great. Without question, this is a must eat place in at the Tempe Marketplace. I highly recommend the fried pickles, BBQ chicken, & shoe string fries as one of your sides. Also, go for happy hour & enjoy one of my favorite restaurant bars.
