Steven talks about his awesome CRM program at CWU. This is really worth a listen, especially if you are thinking about doing archaeology.

You are lumping all Native American tribes into one amorphous entity. This is a bit insulting to the various tribes, who are very distinct in culture, language, and heritage. The Native American tribes numbered in the thousands before Columbus and still range in the upper 100's.  So, finding one culture out of a thousands or so that have a ritual similar to something somewhere else in the world doesn't prove anything.

I have absolutely no intentions of insulting any of the Native American tribes. I have deep regard for the entire Native American culture. Information has been gathered from  various Native American websites and books which say that the origins of the Seven-Step ceremony are traced to tribes in different parts of the continent and cannot be attributed to any one nation or language group. If any particular tribe is responsible for the origins of the 'Seven-Step Rite' please let me know and the corrections will be made with the name of the contributor. Once gain no offense meant. Apologies for any hurt feelings.

Digging the Truth
Introduction
An active Archaeologist myself, I've gotten a bit tired of the use of bad science and archaeology to defend and "prove" made up claims. In this vein my vids should help others who are are not familiar with how Archaeology actually works understand the truth and see through the misleading lies of others.
