Took a tour of the upper Wisconsin Dells. If you've never been there I highly recommend it. Here are two photos from the tour (more to come later). The first is the Palisades and the second is Stand Rock which my Great Grandfather jumped as a child. Today we got to see a trained German Shepard make the jump. #Wisconsin   #wisconsindells

Got this photo at the Iola Car Show a couple of weekends ago.  The weather didn't cooperate with us and we had to cut the day short but still had a great time.  This is a 1927 Ford Model T.  The Model T was manufactured from 1908-1927 and was the first mass-produced automobile.  Imagine going cross country with this car today.  Notice the luggage on the side.  What a great classic American car!  Thanks to all of the wonderful people at Iola! #classiccars   #classiccarsphotography   #iolacarshow

One of my favorite things to do to a photo is to apply textures in Photoshop to change the feeling of the picture.  This photo below has 4 different layers of textures applied in different ways to achieve the dark woods effect I was going for.  If you haven't tried adding textures to your photos, I highly recommend it.  It is fun and non-destructive.  I would love to see your textured photos as well.  In the future I will be offering some of my custom texture packets for sale which can make this process easier if you have many to choose from.

I call this photo "The Enchanted Corner" and it can be purchased in print via www.keithbellphotography if you are interested.

Heading to the Iola Car Show on Saturday. Should be a great event. Here's a photo from last year of a 1958 Edsel in a great color you just don't see on cars anymore. Photographing antique cars is a blast and the colors and shapes really lend themselves to photos. On top of that the people are fantastic! See you Saturday Iola! #antiquecars   #iola

On the Wisconsin River north of Rhinelander, the river winds through a huge stretch of wild rice beds.  These beds are a delicate and important part of the river ecosystem.  As more boats have ventured through this section of river it has become necessary to remind boaters to go slow no wake and stay in the channel to prevent damage to the rice fields.  I found this little red-winged blackbird sitting on one of these signs and calling loudly as if to remind us to slow down.  I wonder if he's a paid spokesperson for the campaign:) #wisconsinphotographer   #wisconsinphotography

One of my favorite parts of summer is I get to spend quite a bit of time on the lakes and rivers of Northern Wisconsin.  This gives me a great chance to see Loons, Otters, Eagles and other wildlife.  I took a photo of this Bald Eagle by Rhinelander Wisconsin.  The bird was high in the tree as I slowly moved my boat closer for this shot.  As the sky was pretty blue and boring that day I decided to add some textures and grunge to the photo to make it pop.  If you haven't tried textures in Photoshop yet, I highly recommend you give it a try.  It's a nice break from the traditional look.  Non-watermarked prints are available on my website www.keithbellphotography.com .   #wisconsinphotographer   #wisconsinphotography   #outdoorphotography   #baldeagle

It's still too early here in Wisconsin for the Coneflowers or Echinacea but here is one of my favorites from the past.  This is my favorite flower to photograph as long as the bees ignore me:) #wisconsinphotographer   #wisconsinphotography   #flowerphotography   #flowers

Here are a couple of additional photos of American White Pelicans.  These birds are huge and fun to watch.  They have only been around this area for ten years or so but are growing in numbers every year. #wisconsinphotographer   #wisconsinphotography   #pelicanphotography   #pelicans
