I have posted here before that I did not believe the coming attack on the Oklahoma Constitution was about the Ten Commandments monument. I'm not the only one that believes that the proposed altering of the OK Constitution is a rouse for undisclosed other reasons. And the Blaine Amendment is not the only constitutional provision that is coming under attack.

America Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) is the organization that has given Oklahoma education cuts, tax breaks for oil companies, workers compensation "reform", a guarantee that we will never raise the minimum wage, tort "reform" and many more benefits to their corporate backers. They're coming for more this coming session and the Oklahoma Constitution is target number one.

What an unjust law. Since the Oklahoma legislature is unlikely to change the law, we can only hope the Oklahoma Supreme Court will find it unconstitutional. There is precedence in Oklahoma that this law is unconstitutional. See Montgomery v. Potter, 2014 OK 118, in which yours truly was trial and appellate counsel.

These "lawmakers" are going to use the 10 commandment issue to distract the public from what they really want. That is to replace the current system of seating judges with a system that is easy for "lawmakers" to put judges on the bench that will ignore the constitution and make rulings that line the pockets of big donors. Be on the look out for more workers comp and tort "reform".
