Off Road Motorcycles - Pennsylvania

I haven't been on for a while, but I'm still enjoying and pursuing photography as my main hobby.

Motorsports seems to be a good fit for me because I enjoy it...

Hiking In The Mountains - Pennsylvania

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I went on a hiking adventure to check out the waterfalls.  I'm not big into hiking, but I enjoyed the experience.  Met some interesting people.  All the hikers I ran across have specialized gear, and wear bright colors.  I'm just glad I brought a bottle of water because I was rather parched by the end of my hike.  Really pleased with the shots I came back with..  I will definitely be better prepared next time...

Raystown Lake - Pennsylvania

I hope everybody's year is going well.  I've been traveling quite a bit on the weekends.  On my way home yesterday, I decided to stop at the lake to see the sunset.  I made my way up to this spot only to find the sun setting way off to my left.  Oh well, it's a good place for an evening selfy..

Ohiopyle State Park - Pennsylvania

Ohiopyle is the southern gateway into the Laurel Highlands.  The rushing waters of the Youghiogheny river gorge is quite impressive to see in person.  A popular area for boating and white water rafting....

Evening Sunset with my Coffee - Pennsylvania

I picked up a fisheye lens a while back, and this is what I came up with.  It's one of my favorite lenses to play around with....

Seven Springs - Pennsylvania

Although the temperatures are slowly rising, it still doesn't feel like Spring in Pennsylvania.  After the long Winter with record lows, I'm looking forward to the warm weather..

I did manage to get out to a local ski resort to check things out.  It's a happening place with lots of winter activities.  I attended a ski competition to watch the kids show off their skills....

Beaver Springs Dragway - Pennsylvania

I enjoy motorsports competition of all types, and like to get out to the drag races a few times a year for photos.  If you have a chance to go to the drag races, its a good idea to wear hearing protection to avoid ringing in the ears...

Cucumber Falls - Ohiopyle State Park Pennsylvania

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend.  As for me, I ended up in Ohiopyle State park on Saturday to check out the area and see the falls.  The weather was great, and the water was flowing at a decent rate.

I didn't realize how much there was to do and see down this way.  My short visit was only enough to see some of the more visible locations and get a feel for the area.  Looking forward to my next visit...

No. 765 - Berkshire Steam Locomotive

Built in 1944, operated freight and passenger trains until retirement in 1958.  Designed for the mountainous terrain where it was proven, the 2-8-4 Berkshire-type locomotive, with two pony wheels, eight driving wheels, and four trailing wheels, became the first embodiment of the “Super-power” locomotive design that would change the course of locomotive development in the United States.

The 765 is a high-stepping, fourteen-wheeled, magnificent machine that stands 15 feet tall, weighs 404 tons, goes over 60 miles an hour and restored to the way it looked and sounded when it was built by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1944.
