Great rooms, staff are personable, helpful and friendly! Breakfast looks and smells awesome. Near everything. Overall, a wonderful experience... and at a HUGE bargain, too!! We highly recommend Cabot Lodge to EVERYONE :-)

My wife and I stayed one night in the Lake City area. Cabot Lodge was inexpensive and had good reviews. I concur with the majority of the reviews. Cabot Lodge was clean and well kept, as was the room we stayed in. Everything in the room worked well. The free breakfast was very good, offering a plentiful variety of selections. We would stay again.

My wife and I have been to the Cabot in for the last 8 years after driving from Toronto, Cda. great place to rest. Just next to I-75 SB lots of places to eat and refuel to your Florida holiday. Sure hope Judy is still there, great host, and friendly staff.

Extremely clean! Perfect place to rest your head after driving until you can go no farther... Hot, relatively yummy breakfast, considering it was free, made it wonderful. I wouldn't recommend for more than a quick one night sleep as the highway noise is bothersome, but when you're exhausted clean sheets are ask that's important, and theirs are super clean! Overall, grateful!!

Well my wife and I stayed there 3-12-15. Frankly the hotel overall is really kind of sub-par. From the pictures and reviews it gives the impression this facility is a more medium scale facility, now speaking from experience not so...... It's a bit overpriced for the type of facility they have....before entering the room you realize this is an aged facility. It really didn't live up to the 4 star reviews I read on various sites. The doors themselves when entering the room looked like they had about 8 layers of paint on them. The bed coverings were a bit tattered and worn. The room was clean, however as with much of the rest of the facility it really is in need of a renovation. Have I been in worse facilities....Oh yes! The problem with this facility I think they're they are a bit overpriced for what they have to offer. I payed $80 for a room that may have only a $40 to $55 room at the most. If I would have just forked out about $20 more we could have stayed in a country inn and suites. Also the pool was very tiny and you could also see that the cover covering the handicap lift was quite worn and tattered. The breakfast was alright not terribly bad. My ac in the room really had to work to cool the room down and it was not really secured all that well. It had noise leaking from the outside compressor because it was not secured and sealed to outside cowling as it should be. Somebody had put dryer sheets in the air filter slots I assume to make the room smell better. There was also grunge one various appliances, electrical outlets, and even on the light switches. There reception building looks great in pictures and from the road and had a generally overall updated look, impressive from the road but that is were the modern feel of the property stops. We also had lighting issues in the room, it appeared to have a short in one of the light bar units on the wall. My sister-n-law also had a room for the night there as well, their room smelled like a retirement facility and smoke. They also had issues with their lights. Half the lights did not work in their room as well. Sorry Cabot Lodge but you'll need to step it up to boost having a room that is worth $80 w/tax. If you want a pricey place to place your head for just a night this is your place, but you can find hotels in Lake City with prices ranging from $45 a night to $60 with the same lack of standard. Frankly days inn and motel 6 have a better set of standards! If you want to find somewhere at night that you sleep without the possible thought of what kind of grunge you may possibly be sleeping on take the extra $20 and place it on one of the options that have a name that would live to the standard of an $80 a night hotel. One last thing and that is if you do decide to stay in this motel make you request a room on the opposite side facing the interstate, unless you can live with the noise coming from trucks running all night! I can say the staff in this facility is friendly and helpful. Again it's just not a facility that has a room that could be priced anywhere above $50 a night.

Needed a place to stay when first reservation at a "NAME BRAND" hotel turned into a nightmare due to overbooking. This was a pleasant surprise for an overnight stay. Staff is super and the price is reasonable. The room was very clean. Would certainly stay here again.
