Recently I've been doing a lot more photo sharing than I have in the past and there are several reasons for it. As a result, I've gotten a lot of feedback about how good my photos are. I wanted to thank all those who have given me feedback, instruction, suggestions, help over the years. The single biggest person in that area
Shawn Duren I wouldn't be the photographer I am today, without his influence. There are many others - they know who they are - who I've shot with and gotten feedback from and I thank you all for that. Like any form of art - a lot of it has to do with practice and experience. I've been photographing since 2002 and my current primary camera is approaching 10,000 shots taken. My advice to any budding artist (photographers in particular) is to listen to others, gain experience and never stop trying new things. You don't get good overnight - you don't get great in a week and you don't get exceptional in a year, heck, 14 years in and I still have shots that make me go 'WOW! I can't believe I took that!' Every failure is a chance to learn. Mistakes are bound to happen and are natural- but you must learn from them to grow. Create your own art and show a path into your soul. Find a way to share that with others and use it to grow as a person.
