It's still a good, working Meta Watch! I remember the photo....the difference is I didn't swim with that 3 ATM stainless watch ('swim' as in doing laps); I dropped it in the pool and took a picture of it.
Swimming laps creates considerably more ballistic force (particularly on the button chambers when your hand enters the water) than a casual drop in the pool. So, if your watch is 3 ATM and you fall into the pool; that shouldn't be an issue. But, I would strongly advise against swimming laps with it.
