The new Subway store celebrated it’s opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning. Larry Singh and his staff were accompanied by Chamber Manager Nancy Partridge, business owner LeAnne Parsons, property owner Mark Cde Baca, MainStreet Executive Director Suzette Fox and County Council Chair Kristin Henderson.



Subway is a well-recognized restaurant, easily visible from the Bradbury Science Museum and the Los Alamos Visitors Center. The American Legion Frank G. Frainier Post 90 will be hosting the annual American Legion, Department of New Mexico, Convention in Los Alamos June 25 – 28. The Legion Post has many opportunities for businesses to partner with them for donations of goods and services that will be used to raise money for charities here in Los Alamos. They are also inviting businesses to submit items for inclusion in their convention participant goodie bags that will help advertise Los Alamos amenities, services, and attractions. If you would like to donate or have an idea to help support the convention and provide a good showing of our community to residents from across the state, please call 505-695-0528. The Los Alamos County Public Works Department will hold a 20th Street Improvements meeting on March 18 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Municipal Building downtown - businesses in the area are especially encouraged to come to the meeting and find out what's planned for the closure of 20th (between Central and Trinity) for the road project this summer.

The first 10-seat table the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce reserved for the Peter Shankman presentation in Albuquerque on April 1 sold out in less than a week. If there is sufficient demand, we will obtain a second 10-seat table. Tickets are $40.
