+Noah Silbert i don't think they're unsolvable, I jut think they're systemic problems of the current paradigm. Much as you can't polish a turd, the limitations of reform are circumscribed by the present context.

As many of these corporations only exist through heavy subsidy -- either to education, infrastructure, government feeding troughs, etc. i don't have any problem thinking of them in terms of, "to whom much is given, much is expected."

In the larger context, I think it's simply a matter of will: either we will build the world we want to live in and it will render obsolete and overwhelm these clowns, or we're not as clever and industrious as we think, and living with the reality of statist bullshit is one of the many humiliations that come from playing games designed to prevent the possibility of your winning.

If you love cinema, you should check out the Seanses web installation by Guy Maddin and the National Film Board of Canada. It creates one-of-a-kind, ephemeral, and haunting films on the fly, and it is a positively magical experience. https://t.co/wpYr04pF5n
