The last track is so beautiful. Love its structure and somehow it reminded me of a section from Recitation. Great work!

Exploring the Ancient Silk Road

The Silk Road, the network of trade routes threading east to west, is what has stitched Central Asia together for centuries.

For millennia, highly valued silk, cotton, wool, glass, jade, lapis lazuli, gold, silver, salt, spices, tea, herbal medicines, foods, fruits, flowers, horses, musical instruments, and architectural, philosophical, and religious ideas traveled those routes.

One month off Indonesia

The incredible journey through Indonesia in a new mag by designer and photographer Anton Repponen.

#photojournalism   #indonesia   #readymag
Backpack, camera and two tickets — one to Jakarta and one back home a month later, the rest is up for adventure. The following set of photographs is a result of one month spent traveling in Indonesia; a diverse, remarkable, charming and sometimes lost country in East Aisa. Lush nature, hospitable people, fascinating culture, it gave much more that ever was expected.

N – The Madness of Reason (2014)

N is a truly striking film; an audio-visual symphony of great narrative complexity that turns on the reason and the madness that inspired Borremans’ monumental project.

N explores real and imagined barriers between the visible and the invisible, the tangible and the dwindling, word and image, documentary and fiction.

The film by Peter Krüger is a Belgian-German-Dutch co-production.

Onewheel — The self-balancing, one-wheeled, motorized skateboard.

Made by a mechanical engineer who had previously worked at IDEO, the Onewheel was developed over the last couple of years to give a hoverboard-like feel to personal transportation. It works kind of like a Segway, in that you lean forward to move and lean backward to slow down, and steer with your body weight. With speed up to 12 miles an hour and a battery that lasts up to 6 miles on a single charge, Onewheel is built mostly for getting around urban areas. But hey, it beats walking.

Nepal Royal offers some of the best trekking services around. I had a chance to trek the Lower Mustang region back in December 2015 with Ganesh and Bhim, both of them are nature lovers. We started our trip at Pokhara and then took a flight to Jomsom. The 8-day trip to Muktinath in December was very peaceful and quiet due to the extreme coldness, there wasn't many travellers. At Jomsom, Ganesh and Bhim helped me to register the Tourist TIMS pass. We set off to Kagbeni from Jomsom town. Nepal Royal prepared the itinerary that is suitable for me. My guide, Bhim will share with me which route is suitable to trek during the winter. They have more than 8 years of experiences in trekking. So, safety issues are not part of my concern as I trust them that they are capable to guide and help me throughout the trip. Oh yeah, by the way, they are very flexible in tweaking the itinerary, like changing hotels location etc. They are always ready to listen to your ideas. Thanks again to Nepal Royal. A good tour company. Regards, Teo
