No it's not a strange ritual dance. Lee is calibrating the internal compass on Trinity our S1000 heavy lift drone / UAV ready for a safe flight in the name of aerial cinematography.

The morning light shattered the Victorian structure in golden light and cast beautifully contesting long dark shadows. And yes we did fly through the holes in the middle. If you can... Why not?

Early morning call for the Black Bee Films crew out to shoot stunning sequences of Balcoumbe Viaduct. The early morning light trough the mist was just stunning. Our intention was to fly through the arches then climb to reveal a train passing at high speed above.

Thanks to Lee Collins for a top days flying. Such a good day to fly Trinity, our S1000 heavy lift drone, UAV octocopter what ever you want to call it. The weather was perfect to shoot some stunning aerial cinematography and at 4k! Can't wait to see the results on an OLED monitor. The light was sublime and the flight first class. A great days filming.

Check out this UAV /Drone style wall paper I found in a pub outside BBC Broadcasting House. Looks a bit like an octocopter. Must be a very early design because the pub is really old and the props appear to be in the centre of the drone.
