This is so awesome and I really hope Apple can make it happen. With apps like bump having been around for quite some time now, this doesn't seem all that far-fetched. Bring on the new technology!
Tired of fiddling with cables and memory cards? You might not have to in the near future as wireless data transfer becomes more and more common. This brilliant concept video by designer Ishac Bertran ...

I already loved the Adobe Photoshop Touch app for iPad, and now it's even better with yesterday's update. Some of the improvements: Increased resolution to 2048x2048 with 10 layers; ability to export as PSD or PNG via camera roll or e-mail; transfer images to desktop via iTunes; plus 2 new tutorials and 4 new effects! Is anyone else psyched about the Photoshop Touch app update?

I really like this article. I think it applies to more than just photography, but rather anything that you are passionate about, and the author touches on that a bit. I particularly like the quote: "If you don't know where you are going, you will probably end up somewhere else." It reminds me of a metaphor about life that I read in a book. The metaphor goes something like this: You are the captain of your ship. You want to sail from point A to point B. Without careful planning, without making adjustments along the way, without knowing where you are going, you will drift away and end up at some distant point C and never make it to point B. Point A is where you are in life right now. Point B is your goal; what you want to achieve. Point C is where the person who wanders aimlessly with no direction, purpose, or goals ends up.
Becoming a photography expert is considerably easier than one might imagine. You simply decide. If that one line were the extent of this article - and you pondered it long enough - you'd understand th...

In the mood for some geeky photography awesomeness? Me too. This video explains the basics of exposure using 8-bit graphics and soundtrack. How awesome is that?!

Despite the fact that I got kicked out so quickly, I was able to fire off several bracketed shots. The downside is that they were handheld because I was rushed. I processed the bracketed photos in Pho...

This is an interesting article on how DxO Labs tests cameras. Some surprises: Megapixels DO matter, more ISO does NOT mean better low light photos, and camera phones are better than we think they are.

I love reading +Larry Becker 's blog Larry Becker's Cheap Shots. He's full of great ideas for inexpensive solutions to everyday photography problems. What I love the most is that he's a professional photographer, but he's not afraid to approach things from a DIY standpoint. Check it out!
Thanks! Friday's post was great for me because I got such great feedback and lots of suggestions, as well as a couple of new ideas. I have some post planned as a result and I'm working on some...
