I really like this article. I think it applies to more than just photography, but rather anything that you are passionate about, and the author touches on that a bit. I particularly like the quote: "If you don't know where you are going, you will probably end up somewhere else." It reminds me of a metaphor about life that I read in a book. The metaphor goes something like this: You are the captain of your ship. You want to sail from point A to point B. Without careful planning, without making adjustments along the way, without knowing where you are going, you will drift away and end up at some distant point C and never make it to point B. Point A is where you are in life right now. Point B is your goal; what you want to achieve. Point C is where the person who wanders aimlessly with no direction, purpose, or goals ends up.
