SNOBBY HIPSTER HOSTESS. We were looking for a restaurant to go to with friend, an old Mayan shaman visiting from Guatemala. She doesn't eat gluten, so we were told this was the place to go. The place was pretty busy so we waited for about 20 mins for a table, which is fine. The hostess (black hair short hair with bangs, tattoos) took us to the back, where the music was bumping like a club. We had to shout to hear ourselves and since our friend is 70 years old, we asked to move the front. The hostess looked like we just asked her to sacrifice her dog to our heathen gods. Totally offended and with so much attitude, she told she could, but we would have to wait for another 1/2 hour. We asked if we could sit at the low bar that looks into the prep area/kitchen and she said it was ok, but was giving off the attitude that that was a horrible suggestion and were stupid for even thinking it. We could not believe it! If we wouldn't have been with our friend, I would have spoken to the management about this and told off the snobby rude hostess. On the positive side, our waiter was awesome and the food was amazing. Even the prep cooks that we were watching checked up on us. We got poutine, a pizza and an orange salad, all of which were we shared and they were pretty good. The place was still pretty loud and filled with young rich looking city people mixed with hipsters. If that is your scene then you'll probably enjoy it. The vegan hipster crowd is not our scene. Even though the food was good, the hostess left a bad taste in our mouth. If it was up to me I would fire her. We will not be back to this restaurant.

Hi there, First we would like to thank you for coming in, and taking the time to write a review. All feedback helps us improve what we do. Our job is to be hospitable and serve great food, and it sounds like we succeeded on one count and failed in the other. For this we are very sorry, and especially so since you brought a revered friend in to share the experience. I'm glad the service and food were good, and I can assure you we will be looking in to the issue with the host. Again, sincere apologies and please pass our regrets on to your friend as well. We will do everything we can to improve. I do hope you will give us the opportunity to do so, and if you visit us again and let us know about your experience. In appreciation, Erin, Manager

If a group of annoying hipsters with limited to no hospitality and culinary experience decided to open a restaurant, then it would be exactly like City O' City. My party of five arrived and waited 25 minutes to be seated even though there were numerous open tables. That's not a big deal when considered by itself, but little did our group know, it would be tragic foreshadowing of the impending dismal food and service. After being seated by a young woman who probably rode a unicycle to her shift at the restaurant, my group waited another 20 minutes until our server halfheartedly greeted us for the first time. Twenty more minutes passed while he, I assume, took Polaroid selfies of his faux, over-sized statement eyewear before meandering back to ironically place our orders. When the food arrived, one friend managed a few bites of a soggy, room-temperature Florentine pizza. Another buddy attempted to choke down a couple bites of an over-salted yet somehow bland kimchi stew before pushing the bowl away. To avoid sounding like a complete negative Nancy, my friends who ordered the small kale salad and BBQ seitan or tofu or whatever the hell vegans eat both lacklusterly said their meals were "passable." Also, my fair trade, organic and whatever other bullshit Earl Grey tea was delicious. So, you know, credit is given where credit is due. Now, you're probably wondering what kind of a loser who pokes fun at hipsters has time to write such a negative, albeit eloquent, review. Coincidentally, my Saturday afternoon opened up when my aforementioned friend who ordered the kimchi stew called to cancel our plans because of what she believes to be food poisoning from last night's meal. Avoid this place like its staff avoids the Top 40 music charts.

Great food. Stop by for lunch and it was full! Food was good. Chai latte was good. Service was good too. I will go again for sure if we have friends who are vegan!

I literally drive hundreds of miles for this place. I love the atmosphere & all the vegan food! How cool is it that you can have a drink at the bar & order vegan bar food! I'm a very happy girl.

My girlfriend first described this place to me as "unhealthy vegetarian food" and the description was pretty apt. I think I've gained 4 pounds every time I've eaten at City O. See, what she failed to mention was how utterly delicious the food was. Since we moved away, I crave the seitan wings (BBQ and buffalo, get some of both!) and poutine so much it hurts sometimes; I wake up from a dead sleep sweating and drooling muttering about their gravy at least once a week. City O' City is by far our favorite restaurant in Colorado, and I think, it's in the running for our favorite nationwide. That's not hyperbole. It's a very special place to us; we ate a ton of wonderful, meaningful meals at those simple tables.

The knife and fork burger is unique and really worth ordering. My non-vegan friends said the onion rings here were they best they ever had. They have a large menu, so I'd plan on coming back often if you like the food anywhere near as much as me. My party received great customer service and really enjoyed our time at City O City!

As an out of towner City O City was an amazing discovery. The service and food were incredible. When sautéed greens means delicious kale I know I have found a place I could frequent. My only regret is that this restaurant isn't in Detroit.

My wife and I were in Denver for 4 days and we ended up eating here twice. Great dinner and an even better breakfast. Stay away from the bloody mary as it lacked much depth. Go for the mimosa w/ kombucha. We already miss this place!

City O' City hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
