Total fun, our captain completely loved his job, and it showed. He informed and entertained the entire way. It's a good way to see a variety of the areas in Seattle. We wished we had done it earlier, we learned about a few things that we would have gone to see if we had known about them sooner.

We had a blast on this duck tour. The captain of our tour was a riot!! He was a bald guy that used many wigs and hats and made the whole experience so much fun!! We will do it again next time we are in town and highly recommend it!!

This could have been a good tour - the driver was entertaining, except for one off-color joke I didn't appreciate. There wasn't much historical information on the tour, and an obnoxious group of adults in the back of the bus really ruined it for the rest of us. They should really reconsider their duck quack policy. Drunk people shouldn't be allowed to blow on them as loud as possible for the entire tour. They should only be for children, who were much better behaved.

Captain ‘Ray Near’ teaches proper pronunciation of geographical landmarks… AND MORE!!! This is the best ride on a genuine World War II DUKW probably since World War II. Invade the Emerald City through “Quack Attacks” on unsuspecting locals and tourists alike and jam along to the fun soundtrack of this 90-minute segment of your life. Seattle is the fastest-growing city in the country so expect to tour bumper-to-bumper traffic with the heart of a bumping eight-year-old. Your host and captain is live entertainment in a never-ending banter of puns, stories, and educational teachings. On my journey I felt time slip away on the relaxing, sunny waters of Lake Union and learned the difference between house boats, floating homes, sea planes, and the Sovereign Nation of Tui Tui. At the end of the voyage, we saw the picture that was taken before the ride and loved it and bought one to make copies of and send to friends. Thanks to Ride the Ducks & Captain ‘Ray Near’ for being a highlight of the afternoon!

Now THIS was fun! You'll see parts of Seattle that you'd probably miss just wandering around and the guide was hilarious. Do it!

Save your money...it is expensive and many of the "facts" given by the tour guide were false. Perhaps they should do some additional research before spouting nonsense to tourist. The most blatant was that Seattle has more bike commuters than any other city in the US...this one struck me as odd since it rains so much in Seattle so a quick web search confirmed...not #1 or #2 but more like #11 or 23 depending on whose statistic you believe. The duck portion of the tour was a quick loop through Lake Union where we were surrounded by sailboats who were clearly annoyed by the motor craft just cutting through the middle of their race. The road portion was mainly driving on a highway out to the lake and back without any real sights or history of Seattle...other than she pointed out the Space Needle multiple times...well I probably could have found that on my own thanks. The commentary was mostly the driver singing (badly) along to an annoying sound track meant to be cutesy...On The Road Again after leaving the lake..Really? Just save your money and do a food tour where you can hear a little history and get drinks/snacks along the way.

This is definitely a fun way to spend the afternoon. We chose a beautiful day in Seattle to take a spin out on the water with a friendly tour on the ducks. Being Seattle natives we definitely felt like we were joining the tourist train, some of the info was a bit exaggerated, and the word cheesy wouldn't even begin to describe their shtick. It was fun though and really cheesy is pretty much expected right? The tour is a great way to see a little of Seattle outside of downtown. Would recommend especially if you have young kids.
