Heather, customer service is very important to us at the Storm Castle Cafe, this is why we can't service to go orders when we have a full restaurant with anywhere from a 15-45 minute wait. If we could possibly provide the customers inside the restaurant walls with the service we strive for as well as to-go orders, trust me, we would. You ask, " if we are paying customers why does it matter for us to come in and sit for an hour or come in and take it to go?" My answer, we quote our customers a waiting time depending on several things: how big their party is, when the people sat down before them, how many people are in front of them waiting, not to mention, guessing how long people will enjoy sitting and chatting at their table when they are done eating. This quote or estimate is made and customers expect that we be as accurate as possible, but if while they are waiting for a table, we begin putting to-go orders in, our estimated waiting time becomes incorrect.
The quality of our food and customer service is top priority for us at the Storm Castle Cafe, if it means that we must sacrifice the sales from to-go orders on a busy day to maintain that quality, then we will.
