Whipped Beer Soap
Something I've been wanting to try for a while is beer soap. From what I've read, the extra sugar in beer really adds a nice lather to the soap, so I was very curious to try it. Now, let me first say, I am not a beer drinker, so I was just amazed at the dif...

Hmmm, that's a really good question Denise! I can't say for sure because I did fragrance this batch...might need to experiment with that one! Did the mead come through in your finished product? Thanks for the compliment, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! :)

Brown Sugar Lip Scrub
So, a couple of months ago, the girls at my work were chatting about
lip scrubs. I’m not familiar with lip scrubs - I’ve never used one…but with me
being the do-it-yourself(er?) that I am – I immediately offered to try to create one for them.  It took me a ...

How to straighten photo using PicMonkey

Crooked pics bug the stuffing out of me as well, but sometimes, that slant is the right way to view certain images.  Still for those times when it isn't, PicMonkey has it down to an artform.  Great post, Cee Gee!

I haven't made a 'me' soap in a while, and thought I would like to have another try at a rosette soap. You may remember this post from all the way back in June 2013, when I first made soap rosettes! There are a couple of things to keep in mind when doing th...

Whipped Soap Cupcakes
I looooove making cupcake soaps - love it, love it, love . it . I’ve tried to make my soap cupcakes (bottoms and tops) out of cold process soap before, but the cold process frosting never seems to
work out very well for me. Maybe (probably!) I’m just too im...

Hi Denise! In soap, the powder performed just as nicely as the juice, so it would make more sense economically and space-wise for me to keep using the powder. I would also like to try the powder in different preparations such as hair conditioner, gel and lotion too :)

Introduction
I started this blog as a visual journal so that I could remember what I have done and how I did it, it's a place to share and learn. I've been making handmade soap since 2004, I love experimenting with cold process and hot process soaps. I also like to create fun soap using melt and pour (glycerin) soap. This blog is an archive of all of the soaps I have made :)
