Teacher Training Spring 2015 is now open!

We love teaching smart, masterful yoga and this yoga teacher training, in Fairfield County, CT, is designed to facilitate the growth of teachers inspired to do the same. As a graduate of this program you will be well versed in: yoga philosophy, functional anatomy, intelligent alignment based asana, how to facilitate centerings, leading meditation, the proper and healthy use of hands-on adjustments, and how to sequence great vinyasa classes. Throughout the training we will focus on the importance of authenticity so that you can teach with confidence and skill while staying true to your own voice.

SOUL SANDWICH

In most yoga classes the focus is on asana. But what about the more meaningful parts of your practice- you know, the stuff with soul? This transformative workshop is serving up a whole lotta soul, a triple-decker yoga special, if you will. You’ll begin with a half hour of pranayama followed by an hour of kick-ass asana and finish with thirty minutes of mind-bending meditation. It’s about really immersing yourself in both the centering and closing parts of your practice – the stuff we usually skimp on in class. We know you’ll love this tasty yoga treat as much as we do!

Ramayana: The Art of Storytelling

Doug Brooks is coming to SYJ! He is a master in the art of conversation, the kind of conversation that will leave you aching to connect with life, and the kind of conversation that will leave you poignantly reflecting on your heart and soul. Who doesn’t need a little of that? You need no experience in “yoga”, the only requirement is a desire to reflect and to find yourself laughing out loud!
