As a bit of historical information, OS/2 resolved all external references by fixing up the binary at load time. The LX format includes fixup information for each page needing fixup. This eliminates the need for PLT or similar but results in faster smaller code. The rationale was that disk was slow enough that one may as well perform such fixups since that was not the significant bottleneck.

With how heavyweight that is much of the Java CI tooling, such as Gradle and Jenkins/Hudson, I'm surprised that there appears to be no standard module to run the previous versions tests, compiled against the previous versions jar, using the current built jar. Such tooling would catch many instances where people unwittingly break binary compatibility.

A real "Heath Robinson" feedback loop.
Self balancing Robot with #hdrive made by @ReneRobotics. He took the #iphone for IMU data acquisition and calculated everything in #Matlab and #Simulink. The drives are connected to a small WiFi router on the Robot. The control loop is running on his #Windows PC with 100 Hz. Running with Motors from https://henschel-robotics.ch
