For iOS hoopla users:

We are aware of a playback issue involving Audiobooks and Music for any hoopla user who has upgraded their iOS device to the latest Apple software release (Apple iOS 7.1). We recommend that other users avoid installing Apple’s iOS 7.1 version to avoid any playback issues that this release is temporarily causing with hoopla.

Our development team is fully engaged to remedy this issue and will be delivering an expedited hoopla update to Apple as soon as it is resolved.

Join us on March 12 for the culminating event of our 2014 edition of Brookline Reads, "An Evening With William Landay."

Landay, a former prosecutor, will talk about how he became a novelist after many years of practicing law, and how he came to write Defending Jacob, set in Newton and featuring many local landmarks that make the story strike chillingly close to home.

“An Evening with William Landay” is sponsored by the Trustees of the Brookline Public Library. The program begins at 7 PM (doors open at 6:30) at the Brookline High School auditorium and is free and open to the public.

Wonderful building, really quiet, lots of tables with electricity, perfect place to concentrate. The wireless internet could be faster but that's OK. Boston Central Library is flooded with tourists, this one has only readers and students.

Wonderful study/work place. You will find a calm, motivating environment, nice staff, free parking and specious old stile interior in the beautiful library of the beautiful city of Brookline. Hooked!
