The server was nice. That was the only good thing I can say about this place. I couldn't get service, not even even from the manager. This was a few weeks ago, maybe a month ago. I went in to have some food and watch my friends play some music but the sound system was messed up and I left hungry. The parking lot was the first spot of annoying- drive in it and you'll see. The worst part was I waited to be sat, the lady manger (who was nice but didn't do her job) told me to seat myself. After 20 minutes no one ever came to offer to sell me food or drink. After some people asked me to join their table I saw they were given the wrong food, those dishes were replaced... again with the wrong food... and I still had no even received a menu. I went up to the manager and she said a server would bring me a menu. Keep in mind she was standing right by the item I asked for. 10 or 15 minutes pass and she walks by "You still don't have a menu?" No, I didn't and you could have just handed me one. But I chose to be polite. she STILL did not bring me a menu. Another 10 minutes and the waiter (who has too many tables and the manager doesn't seem to be helping) finally brings me a menu. Another 10 or 20 minutes go by and he finally asks if I'm ready to order. I was way too fed up with the popping of the sound system that sounded like gun fire and hurt my ears and the complete lack of service. I try to avoid leaving nasty reviews but the manager even noticed I didn't have a menu and did nothing to fix it, never brought me water, nothing.

I ate their yesterday for lunch with a friend, the food was horrible and paying $25 for lunch was equally horrible. Do not eat their Chicken Fried Steak dinner, is will cause you diarrhea within an hour of finishing your meal. My friend had a cheese burger which was also insulting....I will never patronize this business again or recommend anyone else.

Greatest place south of the Red River and north of the Rio Grande to hear local music! Don't miss The Therapy Sisters and The Studebakers and Nancy Scott. Oh, and the food is above par and all the staff rock. ;~)

This restaurant needs to be on your list of places to take people for the Austin experience. Everything from the menu to the decor to the attitude and music is authentically Austin. Burgers are the strong suit here, flavorful, good portions, reasonable prices. Wait staff is friendly and not pushy. A good South choice.

AMAZING chicken enchiladas! I will definitely try the burgers next time as they look absolutely delicious! Price is good, atmosphere is Austin and the service was great during lunch hour. I highly recommend this place.

Ick! My chicken fried chicken entree looked decent, but it tasted really fake, like Chicken McNuggets fake. Normally when I cut into a chicken breast, chicken will flake off from the breast into threads. That didn't happen with Patsy's chicken. It was one solid mass of school-lunch chicken. Sysco chicken. And it didn't even really taste like chicken; it unfortunately tasted more like rubber. The gravy was subpar, too. And the mashed potatoes? They tasted like... get ready... Pepto-Bismol. No joke. Pepto-Abysmal, more like. Speaking of Pepto-Bismol, I wished a couple of hours later that I had some, as Patsy's food gave me the stomach upset. If Roy Rogers and Dale Evans took the stage here to sing "Happy Trails", they'd actually rename the song "Unhappy Entrails"

The food is excellent, the atmosphere is "Austin-y" and quirky...I love this place! The food has really fun names...like the Sandra Bullock, the Kinky Friedman (Reuben Sandwich), The Mathhrew McConaughy (steaming hunk of beef) and the "Willy." Just wait 'til your waitress reviews your order..."I've got one Sandy, one Kinky, and one Willy!" The live music is also fun. I recommend this highly...it's a great place to take visitors to our fine city!
