Excellent service. This is the place to take your VW when you need repairs or routine maintenance.

I was looking for a good independent shop to do some work on my Mazdaspeed 3 instead of taking it to the local dealerships. I was recommended Apex by a few coworkers and even though they normally specialize in the VW/Audi area, they were more than willing to tackle my Mazda. After having them replace all four struts and do a BG intake cleaning service, I couldn't be more pleased with their quality of work and prices. These are true car guys and treat every car they work on like its their own. Highly recommended.

Well i bought a car from a dealership and a week after i had it a bunch of stuff started going wrong. So my buddy told me to call Apex Tuning. They were more than glad to help me out over the phone. I went in and had them change my thermostat. Did an excellent job along with a visual inspection of my gti. They also informed me of my timing belt was basically a brand new one and that really helped me out. I will always tell some one to go there for there VW or Audi. Very friendly people and down to earth guys.

After reading all the positive reviews I decided to try these guys for some routine maintenance on my car. After having dealt with some shifty dealerships in my time, these are guys are like night and day. I can't recommend them enough. They looked everything over and didn't find anything else that needed to be fixed (a huge difference from those shops who will try and find *anything* to replace to get more money out of you). They took the time to do the work properly and answered every one of my (numerous) questions with patience and a wealth of knowledge. These guys definitely know there cars, are honest, and reasonable on price. I won't be taking my car any place else.

I found out about Apex Tuning while searching for a decent place to get the timing belt replaced on my 2000 New Beetle. I found so many positive reviews online that I decided to try them out, and I haven’t found anyone who could come close to replacing their service since. I actually drive two to three hours to get my car serviced there since I do not live in the Raleigh area. But it’s worth it. Apex Tuning is great, they understand everything VW, and do thorough, fast and great work.Their shop is a much better experience than going to a VW dealership or a repair shop that does foreign imports but doesn’t specialize in VW. I’ve tried both, and I’m always left feeling confused, harassed and broke. When I leave Apex Tuning I have a better understanding of my vehicle, new ideas on revamping the interior (thanks to the staff and the magazines they keep in the shop) and I feel confident I will be able to afford many more miles in the car I have come to love. I’m happy to finally be writing my own glowing review of the shop, because it is thanks to countless positive reviews that I found them in the first place. I’m grateful for their service, expertise and friendliness. One word of advice: If you want to catch up on your gossip magazines while you wait to have your care serviced, bring your own. Apex Tuning has tons of magazines for you to read, but they’re more likely to tell you how to upholster your Golf with a hot pink leather interior than what hot pink leather ensemble Katy Perry wore out last week.

After just purchasing a 2004 VW R32, I wanted to ensure the vehicle had proper maintenance done along with tuning the car. Being very wary of dealerships, I got a quick estimate from Kevin and the guys at Apex (all fluids changed oil/haldex/coolant/brake, new fuel filter, air/cabin filter, tune) and their prices beat my local stealership hands down. The guys were able to get my a quick appointment and work with my schedule. Being a 120 mile plus trip one way, they allowed me to hang around the shop while they performed the work on my car. Clearly, they have no problem with nosey owners ensuring all work is done properly and making sure their car is handled right. They were professional, knew their cars (the stealership didn't even know what Haldex fluid was), have fair prices, and are just cool, down to earth guys to talk to. Most importantly, they use only top of the line fluids (VW certified) and OEM parts. Would recommend them to anyone with a VW/Audi for anything from a tune, regular maintenance, or even fabrication or engine builds. Will continue taking my baby to them from now on. They followed up with the the day after to ensure the car was running well and to contact them if I had any questions. Dealerships don't even do this.
