I’m b-a-a-a-a-a-k! “Where have I been?” you ask. Don’t ask. Well, there is that book which took me 5 years to write. Yes, I said five! No, I was not writing in slow motion or playing Parcheesi between paragraphs! (Look, I had a lot of interruptions—other books, book proposals, research projects, learning projects for this and that).

The bottom line is that it’s a whole new morning for me. Okay, so there’s a new morning for everybody every day, but my new morning marks some big changes and developments in my work. Besides finishing that epic book, I am also opening up a new website in full HD. I love it and I hope that you will too. Check it out at www.robertwestauthor.com . I’d like to hear what you think—maybe even have a real conversation once-in-awhile.

I had a lot of help with the site from my new friends, Lilly, Devkaran and their design group at Mobiwebtech. They are way on the other side of the world in India—about 2 seconds away via Skype.

There’s more I plan to do with my site. I’ll be adding motion graphics and other effects that I am hoping will blow you away! And on each page you visit, especially the kids pages, there will be additional effects to make the page pop-out.

Actually, I don’t ever want the site to become static. I will be putting out a new blog once or twice a month and periodically bringing in new images and videos. Be sure to read my latest blog—“Many Worlds,” on my blog page. And, of course, I have many more books percolating in my head. You’ll be the first to get a peek at them! So please visit soon and remember to stop in from time to time to see what’s new!

I am a space addict. I have been so since I was a child. My children's adventure trilogy, The Star-Fighters of Murphy Street, was inspired by a dream I had when I was 10 years old--a dream in which I built a spaceship in a tree.

So I am excited about going to Mars. (My wife disagrees.) I wish I were young enough to realistically consider the prospect. The universe-the planet Earth and everything to the depths of the universe- is filled with wonder. Sometimes I don't understand why we are so preoccupied with that which is ugly.

Unfortunately, back when I was 10, There wasn't a tree in our back yard large enough to hold a decent hammock.

Attics can be pretty scary places. Check out Beamer's attic below. And that's (!before!) the mutant moved in.

Go to:

to learn about the mutant.

What do you know about Saint Francis? Does the word "Saint" put you off? Maybe you're thinking that saints are just people who go around looking pious with their hands folded prayerfully and their heads slightly raised and surrounded by a golden halo?  "Bor-ing!"

I wrote a book about him. It turned out to be quite an adventure. We are talking about one particular monk—a man named Francis di Bernadone from the city of Assisi in Italy. And I can promise you that his life was anything but bor-ing! [Below: Medieval Fair] For more go to http://robertwestauthor.com/robs-blog.html
