A prediction can only made before the fact, so here we are predicting the next billion solar concentrators. In other words: "Solar concentration will play a key role in providing energy access to the poor, reversing deforestation, and mitigating climate change."

Friends! Watch this beautiful video made by World Vision Kenya to present our cooperation with them in Kenya through Weconomy <3 This success in Kenya is a fantastic example of synergy between motivated people, local cooperatives, NGO and social business. Bakers and peanut butter producers are now able to save money, pollute less, expand and inspire others. This is a seed of direct solar economy. Share the gooood news!!

Lorin is now back from Kenya. We've all watched his footage of the first communities using solar concentrators to produce bread and roast peanuts. We'll share with you very soon friends! Here is already a word from Lorin after training the ladies of Yier Ngima community: “My confidence level is very high. Some of the women we trained had never used a spanner before but they learned extraordinarily quickly and we calibrated the machine before I could believe it.” Energy freedom - http://www.gosol.org

"The main energy structure today is fossil fuels and deploying niche energy sources in this structure simply helps the fossil fuel system to continue. There can be no other consequence we should expect. Therefore, if all these indirect solar energy sources considered above are “insufficient” due to conversion losses from solar energy, the obvious question is: why not utilize the solar energy directly?" from "A Direct Solar Economy - A manifesto", by Eerik Wissenz... Fresh solar baked breads in Kenya on the pic :-)
