For Scratch Day, let's create a Minecraft project in Scratch Studio, in conjunction with Roanoke Linux Users Group and SWVA Minecraft Meetup. Bring your own laptop, log in to Scratch and explore how to program your own game based on a Minecraft theme. This workshop is for students and adults of all ages - anyone that wants to learn more about programming in the Scratch environment.

For the fall Roanoke Raspberry Jam, we'll have new projects and topics to discuss. Bring your favorite Raspberry Pi project for show-and-tell.
Events being planned:
• Monitor your home with a Raspberry Pi – IoT project for temperature and humidity
• New Users Introduction to Raspbian, the OS built specifically for the Raspberry Pi
• Raspberry Pi Show ‘n Tell – Bring your favorite project to share
• Introduction to Programming with Scratch – Roanoke Coder Dojo*
• RaspberrySTEM Creator Kit demonstration

* To RSVP for the Coder DoJo session, register separately.
Mark your calendars and hope to see you there!

Finally ... starting to figure out Google Hangouts. Got one spun up and of course, no one to invite.  But, in theory, could hold a virtual meeting that way.  Comments, thoughts?
