Genealogy Tip: Don’t let your family’s stories be lost. Track down every lead in the newspapers, looking through every page right down to the classified ads. Here is an example from 1835, in which a series of newspaper ads tell a story about Julia Moore, a 13-year-old Irish immigrant accused of stealing her employer’s fancy hat.

Went to 3 universities, UC Berkeley, USC, and Cal State Hayward (now East Bay). Graduated from one, grad school at two as well. Lived in several states, tons of travel, survived without being in a bad mood all the time. Vice President at 5 different software companies. Two marriages, two children, one grandchild.
