8 Great Things Gene Wilder Said At 92nd Street Y:

1. On working in Hollywood: "Yuk, I don't like it!"

2. "I don't think I'm that funny."

3. "So much swearing [in movies.] ... Can't they just talk?"

4. "Dancing with Zero Mostel is very interesting."

5. Will you come on my podcast? "Will I come on your what?"

6. "I think [Willy Wonka] remake is an insult."

7. Richard Pryor was one of the writers on "Blazing Saddles," and one day he didn't show up. Mel Brooks couldn't figure out what happened to him. Mel got a call and it was Richard. He said, 'Richard, where are you?' Richard said, 'In Cleveland.' Mel said 'What are you doing in Cleveland?!' Richard said, 'I don't know.'

8. " 'Fat fat fat'. That was Mel. I may have added two fats."
