Poll finds most Americans would replace Congress in shutdown
Every member of Congress would be replaced if 60 percent of Americans had their way, according to a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll. Only 35 percent of those polled said they wouldn't replace the current congress.
The poll also found that almost two-thirds of Americans belief the government shutdown is having a great deal of harm on the U.S. Economy and that 53 percent blame Republicans.
Negotiations between House Republicans and Obama are continuing into the evening after the House GOP conference Vice Chair said they are hoping to have the government open by Monday.
