Who should take responsibility for an animals welfare when an owner no longer can?
Fantastic discussion at the BVAAWT meeting earlier in the year about the dilemmas vets face when animal owners either can't be traced or are unable or unwilling to take responsibility. Lots of it is very relevant to the problems of rescue groups.

Cambridge bees obviously have a "thing" about wicker bike baskets...

We had an overwhelming response to our info about the dangers of Chinese (sky) lanterns. We've listened to your concerns and launched a new petition calling for a ban to prevent further suffering to animals. Please sign and share!

Please help us by completing our survey about veterinary costs and share with any friends who have animals. It will help us develop better services for animals in need of help.

This topsy-turvy Texel ram had got himself into a spot of bother when one of our inspectors spotted him whilst on his way to another call. Whilst the ram looked dead he was, in fact, just stuck on his back with his legs reaching for the sky. Fortunately he was OK - it's thought his thick, spongy fleece had got stuck or tangled with the ground - and after being helped back onto his feet he made his way back to the flock :)
