The Assisteens Junior Class held an Easter party for the families at Thomas House Family Shelter in Garden Grove this past weekend which included a visit from the Easter bunny. These young ladies met a week before the event to finalize their plans, stuff eggs and assemble Easter baskets. The party included decorating cookies, games and an Easter Egg hunt.

Saturday, October 22, 2016 is Make a Difference Day. Help to celebrate by donating a children’s book between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm in our parking lot. The books will be distributed to the local community through Operation School Bell and Cheri Harris Dental Center. #MDDAY

Assistance League of Newport-Mesa is a participating in USA Today’s Make A Difference Day on Saturday, October 22, 2016 with a Children’s Book Drive. If you would like to make a donation, there are book collection boxes at locations scattered throughout the Newport-Mesa area. Or you can drop your books off at the Assistance League of Newport-Mesa on Saturday, October 22, 2016.

All of the collected books will be distributed to children and teens in need through Operation School Bell and the Cheri Harris Dental Center.

On clothing distribution days, America’s Toothfairies educate the children on proper oral hygiene as they are waiting for their appointment times.

The Operation School Bell distribution is in full swing between August and October. This philanthropic program provides back-to-school essentials to almost 1,700 children in the Newport-Mesa community.
