Did anyone NOT expect the VA to ignore/misuse/disobey this new law? After all, they have such a stellar record of following existing laws to this point. I foresee the U.S. Taxpayers having millions of their dollars wasted on payouts to this wronged whistle blower who had the guts to speak up – – – then was harassed, rather than listened to.

Time for SecVA David Shulkin to immediately FIRE David K. Dunning, and seek a new Director for the Memphis Facility. He now according to law has the power to do precisely that. Will he show some real leadership?

If not, then it is time for POTUS Trump to tell Shithead Shulkin: “You’re FIRED!!!” NOT “Please have your resignation on my desk by . . . “.

Just another reason that it is past time to FIX THE DAMN BROKEN VA:

1. Recognize the problems inherent in the VA are SYSTEM-WIDE, not just limited to a few locations.

2. Fire all the Lazy No Good Workers. Fire EVERY single AFGE/SES Employee.

3. Sell off all the VA facilities. Alternatively, they may be converted into housing for homeless veterans.

4. Issue all veterans a card that allows them to choose their own doctors within their community that they can TRUST.

5. The United States Government will PAY those doctors promptly (Within 45 days) for the care they provide veterans.

6. ELIMINATE the “Federal Protection” Umbrella for incompetent QUACKS that the VA sends to other states to practice other than their own. Going to practice in Hawaii? You need to be LICENSED in Hawaii. Same applies to all other states.

7. Any claim a veteran submits that requires more than 90 days to adjudicate, is automatically found to be in favor of the veteran. If a claim filed by a veteran is found to be a false one designed to scam the system, the VA will have to prove in civil court that a false claim was intentionally submitted.

8. All veterans will be allowed to seek/retain the services of a Veterans Rights Attorney from their first initial contact with the VA.

9. No AFGE, nor any other Labor Union business will be allowed to take place in any Federal Workplace. Conducting Union Business during working hours will be STRICTLY PROHIBITED, and will be STRICTLY ENFORCED. Should any government employee be found violating this provision, it will result in IMMEDIATE LIFETIME DISMISSAL FROM ANY/ALL GOVERNMENTAL EMPLOYMENT.

10. Attorneys for appeal will be retained at the former employee’s PERSONAL expense. U. S. Taxpayer’s will not be subject to payment of legal bills for incompetent personnel with regards to Governmental Employment.

POTUS Reagan broke up PATCO in the ’80’s. Time for POTUS Trump to break up the AFGE. Most of our current Congress Critters do NOT have Veterans Interests at heart. Perhaps their replacements will. VOTE OUT all these WORTHLESS INCUMBENTS.

Give their replacement’s one term to take care of Veterans who put aside their own personal lives to answer this nation’s call when she needed them.

If they cannot MUSTER THE STONES to do it properly – – – vote their worthless asses out as well. Party should NOT MATTER. What SHOULD MATTER is their VOTING RECORDS ON VETERANS ISSUES.

Our battles overseas were far less stressful than our war here at home. Never Cruel or Cowardly. Never Give Up. Never Give In. We are on the Righteous path.

NO Combat Veteran should be surprised when the next McVeigh or Congressional Baseball Team Incident occurs. Bound to happen. Just a matter of time . . .

This is correct. And if the old adage "A picture is worth a thousand words" is true, then this one should say quite a bit . . .

In this case, I find myself agreeing with the Secretary of the VA. The present system is not sustainable. It requires serious rethinking, and a new direction for the future.

1. Spending millions of Taxpayer dollars on fancy artwork to adorn the walls of VA Clinics to “boost morale” is not sustainable. That money should be going to veterans.

2. Not being able to properly adjudicate a Veterans Disability Claim properly and accurately within 90 calendar days, rather than taking years – – – sometimes decades from date of submission is not sustainable. That money should be going to veterans.

3. Forcing veterans to endure more than 45 day waits for ANY appointment is not sustainable. Those veterans should be seen by their respective specialist within 45 days. Waiting three months to get an MRI is unacceptable.

4. Not being able to FIRE senior management or medical personnel such as Sharon Helman, RimaAnn Nelson, Dan “the candy man” Houlihan et al within thirty days, once they are caught with their hands in the Veterans Cookie Jar is not sustainable.

5. Not having the Veterans Healthcare Administration (VHA) and the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) being able to cross-communicate is not sustainable. Each of them are, after all – – – a major component of the Veterans Administration. They should be working in concert, without the need for the “Veteran Middleman”.

6. Going after HONEST employees AKA “Whistle Blowers” for speaking up about problem areas within the VA, or dishonest employees dipping into the Veteran Cookie Jar is not sustainable. These employees should be promoted rather than persecuted.

7. The nepotism when awarding contracts for Veteran Services “outside the VA” is not sustainable.

These are but a very few examples. Again, Mr. Secretary – – – I AGREE with you. The current system is not sustainable. It requires a thorough rethink. I believe there should be some Veteran Input into this process. After all, who better to find the fallacies in a company or organization, than the people it is supposed to serve?

Our government has been meddled with by too many corrupt people for far too long. This is much bigger than any Political Party. This is about TRUTH for the average American Citizen. We have the right to know PRECISELY what happened.

One single incident does not corrupt the government, nor put it in jeopardy. It is always a cascade of events.

Putin is not playing. What we see now began ten years ago. We need the truth.

Delay, Deny, Hope Veterans Die has been the watchword of the VA for the last thirty years. If any VA employee shows any amount of Honesty and Integrity in dealing with veterans healthcare or compensation claims, they are immediately identified and assigned to the Shitbird Target List. Then the VA and AFGE go HARD after them.

And the (mostly) uninformed American Public thinks America’s Warriors are being taken proper care of based upon the blatant LYING the VA does with their TV commercials. Rotten Bastards!

Fortunately, I have been able to begin to gently educate a few folks on just what REALLY happens with the VA and AFGE – – – and I daresay the disabledveterans.org website that is run by +Benjamin Krause readership will be picking up over time. One small step at a time – – – and one day we veterans will complete our thousand mile march for justice.

I will certainly be following you on Steemit. While Google+ is far from being as bad as Facebook or Twitter, it is certainly heading that way rapidly. Meme City. Very little intelligent discourse. Regrettable.

Far easier for people to use nasty pejoratives rather than critically think, then express their points as a plan or opinion.

This was e-mailed to me by a friend. I do not know the source, but seems to sum what is happening in our nation quite clearly.

See how much of the following you agree with. Seems about right to me.

“There was a time in the United States when people knew their neighbor. They never thought about “Washington,” but rather knew the answers to their problems were found locally. They relied on family, church, and community. That community would vary from place to place. Each community would be largely homogenous, but then very different from other communities. Each community had its own quirks, but the communities were made up of people from all walks of life.

Over a period of decades, community started fracturing. Americans left the church, abandoning the gospel and with it a common tongue of stories shared between people. They moved off their front porches. Instead of looking ahead and making eye contact, they started looking down at the small bright screen in their hands.

On that screen, they started building new communities. Instead of enjoying the world God made man, man made his own world. In it, he could select the people he wanted there. Five hundred television stations allowed him to curate his entertainment to reflect just him. The internet allowed him to select just the news he wanted to hear. Social media allowed him to abandon the neighbor next door for the digital neighbor with whom he had no need to find common ground because they agreed on everything.

Liking Facebook posts replaced sitting around a table sharing a meal. The coffee conversation at the local diner got replaced with the real time Twitter feed where everyone complained about the same thing, the same way, and all targeted the same group to blame. God made the real world and we see Him reflected in it. Man made his own world and we see his reflection in it. The former is beautiful. Not so much the latter.

That self-created world has become a tribe. In it, people are neighborly, kind, and generous. Out of it, people are not people, but other. Those others are to blame and there is no common tongue to relate to them. The other soon become de facto bad. When the voices in your self-selected world tell you that the other is destructive and out to kill you, over time it becomes easy to believe it. After all, you never encounter the other any more. And all the news you consume tells you the other is the problem.

The other then becomes the enemy out to destroy you and your way of existence. The only way to stop them is through violence. You see them not as a neighbor because you have no community with them. You see them not as a fellow American because your news and social media tell you they are traitors. You see them not as a child of God created in His image because you no longer go to church. It is suddenly very easy to devalue the enemy.

This is the world to which we now careen. As local community collapses, the power of Washington grows, every hill becomes one to die on, and people continue to wall themselves off into worlds of their own design, the violence we saw in Washington will become more common place.

Political rhetoric in this country has always been incendiary and has rarely led the crazy to act. But now the rhetoric is not tempered by the reality of the community around us. Instead, it is reinforced by the community we have created. It is amplified and the tribal instincts create a feedback loop to defend the tribe from the other. The crazy are cheered for defending the tribe. After all, the other tribe started it.”
