Our goat, Precious is a first time mom. She is a very gentle goat, coming from a Kiko Buck and Nubian Doe. This girl has been through dog attacks and parasite issues when we got her as a 6 month old kid. She was born the spring of 2016 and is now 2 years old.

We purchased Precious and Goldie, both the same breed, from a friend so they could be our milk goats. Our matriarch goat, Ruby is 9 years old and we don't want to breed her anymore. Ruby is a tired old girl.

We have handled Precious and Goldie so much that they come to us for affection quite easily. I love that they are so gentle. Precious being a new mom is showing concern for her first born brown goat, Cinnamon and not so much to her 2nd born Dottie. Her milk supply is very low so we are supplementing Dottie, who still tries to nurse but isn't getting much from momma. We purchased some goat pellets to feed Precious which hopefully will help to increase her milk supply for both her kids. As long as Cinnamon is nursing, Dottie can nurse but if it's just Dottie, Precious will walk away.

This is why dog owners need to secure their dogs. Be a RESPONSIBLE OWNER!!!! We live in a very small country town where dogs up and down the road are allowed to run loose, chase vehicles and kill livestock! We are doing everything we can to protect our livestock on our property. Dog owners need to do the same and be respectful to your neighbors. Be aware of the fact that YOUR ROAMING DOG is at risk of loosing it's life when it comes on someone else's property, especially those of us who have livestock. The Law here is says we have the right to end your dog's life when they are on our property! If you honestly love your pet, keep it safe in it's own yard!!! #CoveArkansas

Betty Hester, I found a link for you for transfering your National Geographic to FamilyTreeDNA.

I have my DNA test data from National Geographic. Is there a way to upload it to FTDNA?

Betty Hester, I don't think Family Tree DNA is accepting DNA Data from National Geographic. Here is the link for the autosomal transfer but it's for Ancestry and 23andMe. They just started allowing the two DNA testing sites to transfer.

Doug and I have been discussing moving our bucks away from the does because they breed through the fence. This July 2017 I started working on the new yard while Doug heals from his back surgery. I have been posting my progress on Facebook. Today I chose to make a video of what has been accomplished so far. The goal is to have the bucks locked away in their new yard by the end of August 2017.

Loner and her siblings are now 3 months old today. She is only 10 lbs while her two siblings are 20 lbs. Loner was not getting to nurse. She was stressed out and weak. After separating her from the herd and treating her along with the rest of the herd for parasites, we started bringing her mother in so Loner could nurse. Afterwards her siblings were allowed to join them. At night I separate the bigger siblings so they can't take the milk from Loner. She's doing so much better!!!

Loner walks alone! She is one of three kids born to our doe, Kathy. Her siblings don't play with her nor do the other kids. All the goats just smell on her and then walk away. Loner is in her own world.
