Just finished this video for the Dubois Anglers. It's about how to save our wild trout on the Upper Wind River. What do you think?

Bradly, I finally had a chance to look at the slide show you sent. The slides that we could make the best use of are those that show the finished or near finished project from a sort of overhead view. We would link to your posts on the project so that people could see how it was built. We would like to do another blog post about the project but we'd also like to make a permanent place for DAWGS in the Fishing page of our site. It isn't so much this particular project that we want to enshrine but the approach and institutional attitude of the DAWGS that embraces consideration for other waterway users, doesn't require humans to get off the planet, seeks cooperative funding, and cooperation generally and doesn't assume that every other waterway user doesn't care about impacts on fish and water quality. Most importantly, we admire that DAWGs doesn't flinch from using civil engineering for wild life enhancement. If we don't force all the people off the planet the entire land surface can't be wilderness. There is going to have to be agriculture, forestry, roads, bridges, and in places urban development. We see no reason why civil engineering can't be employed for wildlife enhancement in multi-use areas. Not every work of civil engineering is an encroachment on wildlife and fisheries, some can incorporate features beneficial to wildlife , some should be built like your project specifically to benefit wildlife. We'd really like to hear from your contractor , we'd like to have some resource links in our Fishing page. If you are a landowner and you want a fish by pass "who you gonna call?"
At American Admiralty Books we think that's the kind of question that we exist for, we'd like for people with that question to be able to find it in our fisheries page....and maybe our navigation page as well and our engineering page.  Biology is not the only academic discipline that can improve conditions for wildlife.

Live and fly fish in beautiful Dubois WY. Own a small fly shop, a little LLC, love photography, videography and my nutty dog
Introduction
Fly fishing store owner and small business advocate (but of course). I live and fly fish in the great little Western town of Dubois, Wyoming.

As a youngster, my father would bring my sister and I to Dubois to go camping and fly fishing. It was here, that I caught the "fly fishing bug."

Can't say the same for my dear sister. Can say, that I did catch her with a dry fly hook in the face during a fierce Wyoming Wind. Perhaps that is why she never gravitated to the sport.

Recently purchased Central Booking so now we are able to offer one-of-a-kind Wyoming fly fishing trips, horseback day rides, ATV rentals, Snake River float trips and much more. Very exciting!

Am the author of the book Wyoming Winking - Nature Speaks. A little coffee table type book with nature photography and a creative style of writing. Was inspired by my mother, Patty, who absolutely loved Dubois, WY. I dedicated the book to her.

My interests are varied and include fly fishing, photography, videography, SEO, website creation, Wordpress, Domaining, podcasting, and much more. It seems as though there aren't enough hours in the day - or I am just moving slower. One of the two and probably the latter.
