That was a real shocker for the area, since nothing closely resembling it had ever occurred before. We lived north of that complex a bit east for 30 yrs.
The day they discovered her headless corpse, I was taking our kids to Rose Mofford park. Everything was cordoned off w/crime lab and hundreds of people curiously looking on. It seemed a terrible tragedy had occurred.
My first thought was someone got shot, which was pretty run of the mill, sadly. We found out about the discovery of the body and it was so unsettling, to say the least. Eventually working our way around the detour we got to the park. Getting out the kids bikes I noticed a guy falling off his bike on the bike path. I enquired if he was alright and he nodded and shakily got back on his bike (appeared to be a woman's). As he went by I noticed the whole side of his body was caked with what seemed like huge blotches of dried blood. I immediately got the kids back in and drove back to I-17/Cactus. Detective Leo Speliopolis with the Crime Lab was the one I gave the info to.
A couple of days later he notified me of their follow up work and thanked me for my vigilance. Years went by and the area has changed and improved landscape and lighting installed. We left there after 30 yrs. but the tragedy never leaves the memory. It was elating to hear they finally apprehended the nut case after all those years. Thanks to forensics and DNA evidence and cold case files not being closed despite the passage of decades of time.
Kudos to law enforcement and the relentless, painstaking work they do as well. People are generally a lot safer as a direct result. Cheers!

I agree with what Shashi Tharoor says for the most part. His speech at Oxford regarding the reparations owed by Great Britain, England in particular to India was resoundingly effective and powerful. He got immense applause and appreciation for the content of his speech. He is very articulate, research based and can be emotionally attached to the substance of his beliefs.
Now here is another volatile and complex issue he feels strongly about. I'd like to hear him out because on the surface it seems he may be very much on track to be right about much of the PEW research on the subject.
Overall I believe he is considered a very strong and authentic voice for issues concerning the complex subcontinent of India. It's past, present and the direction it ultimately chooses toward the future ultimately may be quite influenced by him and it's believers/ supporters.

I've always believed that a good driver by any definition is an integral part of the 'car'. Just like professional race car drivers are meant to be. That's why I'm a big proponent of learning to drive properly entails driving a manual 'stick shift', when you first start learning to drive.
The other advantage to it is that it's very hard to 'multi task' while so engaged. Kinda have to be a very good juggler, lol! I have found that so many people really are unaware of how to bring a runaway 'rogue' vehicle to an effective, safe stop. If you consider that if they knew how to drive a stick shift they're more likely to know how to do that properly with near masterful control.
Cheers!

Wanna bet? These overgrown lummoxes ought to find something other than line calls or road rage, to parking lot issues to argue or even fight over. Bunch if neanderthals!

For both these guys to pull out could make it curiously interesting. It'll no doubt open up some spots depending on the draw.

Oh I think Roger Federer ought to be able to handle Kyrgios. Provided he can hold his own serve and focus on breaking NKs blistering angled serves, he could pull it off.
After all his name is the one that comes up more often as the greatest player in the sport's history.
Rogers slick backhand winners and his ability to move the ball around will pull NK out wide so he can get to the net or even hit a groundie to the open court.
Should be worth watching!

"It's a very cleverly orchestrated conspiracy. Make up certain once a year events to celebrate. That way you can be a jerk the rest of the year. It's a lot harder and impractical to be nice most of the time, lol!
If you can't see through this humbug BS which isnt genuine, then you'll wake up one day to superficiality when it hits you hard." Cheers! Oh btw I'm simply quoting, but it makes one think doesn't it?
