Gravitation
These gel balls were probably the find of 2011 for me:-)
Great props for any studio tabletop photographer, and not only.

Curious? Full story is here: http://goo.gl/sU31C

The drop
During a serious shot we are working on these days I noticed how interesting splash looks when object dropped into a shallow water.
Got this quick shot to show the effect, as-is from a camera, just slightly cleaned.

What really cool is that I've recorded a video, explaining everything: the light, the camera and actual "dropping" action. Will post video once it is ready to www.MasteringSplash.com , hopefully in a few days:-)

Now... it is time to sleep. :-))

Its awesome.......................................................................

Sparks Lake, Oregon.

Gearing up for the spring/summer right around the corner I decided to try to get on my backlog of images taken during last years workshop/tour season. I have a couple from this shoot going with long exposures, but the textures in this one made me want to develop it first. For those who have never been to Sparks Lake, it is a must see location in Oregon for sure (think summer/fall)

Side note: my 73 year old father (still in top notch climbing condition) is in this photo (maybe 1/4 of one pixel :) ). He had just gotten done soloing both middle and south sister and was camping up on south sister (the mountain on the left) when this thunderstorm had rolled through. Right before our shoot I had talked with him via cell phone.
