Known for its stone carvings of Hindu gods, this cave may date as far back as the 9th century.- Google

If you have been to Tirta Tempul this one is not that special. One is talking about the elephant cave, which means you have an entrace to a small cave which looks like a elephant head…

Good walk from Ubud, be careful of the self appointing guides trying to leach on at the front or sarong sales people that insist on a sale, FYI sarongs are supplied at entry point and you won't really need a guide as there is maps on information boards inside.

Caves and holy water tank is good. Beware of guides, they just start explaining you but later ask for money.

Well preserved 1800 year old temple cave entrance ornately carved into the hill side.

Nothing to see here. Just a little stifling cave with 2 or 3 carvings and statues. I can't even add anything else.

The cave entrance is a great opening sight but the rest doesn't really deliver any wow factor. The cost is not a problem (15k rp - less than a pound) and you will have to don a sari but they are lent to you at the entrance. Plenty of touts in the area as well.

Nice temple and the steps down to the second temple are a must see and after that you can go swimming.
