Viktor Lakics is a Hungarian-British photographer chasing the light wherever he can.
by everyday illusions, the light, the shadows and reflections, I love
how new dimensions are constantly being created and disappearing in
front of my eyes. I believe if I am lucky and keep my eyes open, I can
get a glimpse of these miracles and I will also be able to capture
them..." ( Quote from a close friend, a photographer who I never knew
personally - he recently passed away at the age of 40. His name is Zsolt
Takacs)A little more about me (hey, this is my page after all:-):
Viktor is a not (yet;-) a professional photographer, he has a family, a day job, and lots of interests. In real life (who says what side of you is real?!) he is a neuroscientist, molecular biologist working to find medications to fight Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
When he is not thinking of his job, he focuses on his family & photography... Sometimes both...
Photography to me is a way to get away from it all...To find a space where I can express how I feel about the world, what I see in my own unique way. But I am not making images for myself. I need to share them with YOU. I want you to hear, see, feel what I have to say. My hope is that YOU will resonate, and make these moments captured on my photos yours. That makes me happy.
My images are mainly landscapes and cityscapes, with the occasional portraits, macros and street photography. But make no mistake about it, even the landscapes talk about people...Every frame has at least two persons in it: the Photographer and the Viewer. The landscape is just a bridge to connect them... I find it so far easier to make this connection through an indirect way i.e. landscapes. Maybe I will be more direct in the future and will move into portraits as well; the possibilities are endless.
Thanks for reading, hope to see you frequently on my page!
