Samsung, Apple, and Google are all announcing mobile health platforms that aggregate a wide range of health and fitness data with the promise of integrating that information into our medical care. Unlike other platform wars, however, consumer choice may not be what determines the winners or losers in this fight.

Ryan Faas used the Firefox phone for a week, and was not excited.
Mozilla's Firefox OS offers up a simple, web-focused smartphone that feels very similar to the original iPhone (before the App Store) and webOS. It's a great platform for mobile novices, but feels limited compared to iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry.
