Great picture from yesterday, March 22, 2012. Kiss Csongor from Derecske, Hungary and his girlfriend created this great shot of Venus and Jupiter being juggled. Kiss said: "Venus is the jewel of the night sky, and the ladder to the sky. Thanks to my girlfriend to help me create the pictures."
Dear Asheville, N.C. (and anyone else who can get there):
Because you are my FAVORITE PLACE, you are invited to join the FAMOUS TRACY GOLD PLATINUM CIRCLE for John Hodgman's Nov. 11, 2011, appearance at Asheville Community Theater (hosted by Malaprop's Bookstore Cafe). HERE ARE THE RULES/DETAILS.
Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies doing Dixie Chicks doing "Goodbye Earl" coming up on the iPod during my workout means now I'm going to watch Mary Stuart Masterson do Fannie Flagg's Idgie Threadgoode while I clean the house.
Carrying torches. Tilting at windmills. Tilting at windmills with torches.
I've been lucky enough to write things for a living for most of my career, except for when I took that break to be a licensed massage therapist up in the mountains. Now I'm in charge of people who write things for a living.
Once I walked a mile on a broken leg. I also lost an epic game of Scrabble on a ship in the middle of the Caribbean, and the Sea Monkeys decided I was famous. I can Lindy Hop a little, and I write geeky poems and put them on the Internet. And I'm the editorial director of a website you may have visited.
